Julie was born near Pittsburgh, PA in 1983, but spent most of her childhood outside of the Washington Beltway in Damascus, MD. After high school she received her B.S. in Marketing in 2005 from The Pennsylvania State University. Her love of higher education led her to the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management where she earned an M.B.A. in Economics and Statistics in 2007. She now resides in Silicon Valley, CA where she keeps the technology cogs spinning. A benefit of being in Central California, is her proximity to many different wine regions including: Napa, Sonoma, Monterey, Willamette, and Gold Country. Some of her favorite wines reside outside of the US in various regions of New Zealand, France, Spain and South America. As time allows she travels to these unique locations to see the wine-making process in action.
If nothing else, The Winoisseur lets her honestly share her experiences and opinions on a variety of wines, locations and lessons learned along the way.
